Our tour was fantastic and we saw all of the main attractions of Tanzania plus more. Our guide Neema a very knowledgeable young lady was very professional but joined in with all our silly game’s. Neema made sure everything ran smoothly and added a few surprise extras which gave our holiday that extra special touch. The extra tours were fantastic and we were lucky in the safaris that we saw all of the five big animals. We visited some beautiful places and would thoroughly recommend booking with MamaAfrica safari&trekking.
I can’t think of a single part of this holiday that wasn’t up to my expectations – in fact I think it surpassed them!

We had a really wonderful safari tour with Mama Africa safari. We did a 8-day tour from the end of January to February and visited the following National Parks: Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Arusha NP. On a additional day we went to the beautiful hot springs near Kilimanjaro and did a half day hiking tour to some nice waterfalls in the forest (also with Mama Africa safari).
The Safari in itself was well-prepared and good-equipped. We were really lucky with our perfect guide Freddy. He has a good sense to find hidden animals and was very good company for us. It was a perfect mix of staying in a "crowded area" to see some highlights very close and driving through remote area and spot cheetah, lion and elefant just on our one. These quiet moments were the best time on safari. Once we could spot a group of 15 elephants (with small children) for over 45 minutes on our one and Freddy did no pressure. In total we have seen so many animals and much closer than expected. Big herds of antelopes, buffalo, zebra, flamingos and also elefant, leopard, giraffe, hippo and many many lions……..
We had a good mix of accommodation (tended camp, lodge, hotel) and enjoyed most the camping in Serengeti and on the rim of Ngorongoro crater, The dinner together with our guide Freddy was nice and we had good talks. We had also lovely snacks for lunch every day. We have seen big safari groups and they had just a prefabricated lunch box like on a airplane.
Organizing the tour with the company was easy going. Judith was very helpful and tried to include all our wishes. She is young professional local lady running this company in Tanzania.

From the mountain climb to the Serengeti our trip exceeded all of our expectations.
Our guides on Mt. Kilimanjaro, Faza and Marry, made our climb possible through their parsonal support and encouragement. The abiding humor, knowledge and encouragement of the entire climbing staff made it possible for me (a 50+ year old woman) to reach the top of Mt Kilimanjaro. Perhaps the single most difficult physical challenge I have ever attempted, i could have never emagine the team built with so many ladies could do such amaizing job to the top of Kilimanjaro, atleast that gave me courage when i was started.

Our safari guide, Rajab, taught us so much about all of the animals that we were so fortunate to see. We all came away from the safari across Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater changed by our experiences observing the fantastic animals of Tanzania and by all of the information Rajab shared with us about their behavior and habitats. He is a walking Bush encyclopedia!
Truly, this tour company is a real treasure in travel to Tanzania.

  Two weeks Honeymoon in Tanzania & Zanzibar – My wife and I had a wonderful experience with Mama Africa safari, Judith who helped to organize and plan the trip were very friendly and easy to contact by either… read more phone, WhatsApp or e-mail. They gave good recommendations for places to visit and sights to see during our stay, and were very accommodating when travel plans were forced to change a couple of different times during the period when COVID-19 restrictions prevented travel. Once international travel was finally allowed, the agents quickly arranged great accommodations, tours and transportation that allowed us to see the locations in Tanzania we desired for our Honeymoon.

Mama Africa was easy to contact during our stay, and stayed in touch periodically to ensure our travel was going smooth. We were very happy with how the trip went, and the support received from the agency before and during our travel and the willingness to provide advice regarding travel insurance and air travel as well.

There were so many enjoyable moments packed into our 14 day itinerary, but I’d say the most memorable parts of our trip were being able to meet so many nice and friendly people along the way.

Mama Africa Directors were very humble and down to earth, we attracted by their efforts and idea of empowering women through tourism, we are happy that we managed to contribute little on this course, It was a great blessing for us to have much more personal contact with ladies tour guides, drivers, waiters, lodge staff and others along the way.

Mama Africa helped us to completing the necessary paperwork and COVID testing to enable flying out to Dubai.

The team of guides and porters distributed with professional young men and women were excellent- kind, accommodating, patient, and knowledgeable. Our guide spoke English well; the porters were less fluent but understandable. The trip was well organized and allowed for a flexible itinerary (based on our health and hiking abilities). During our safari, hiking and trekking, the guide and porters were amazing and we felt taken care of and supported.

What we get from this company is Friendly, helpful and professional guiding service, with a social women enterprise heart and everything is included in the package, and We felt confident that the team were well treated (eg weight limit for porters) – and they made our trek amazing.

A very professionally run business, with customer service are the hallmarks of this company. I spent The company mission includes rural community development for women enterprises and they use a portion of their profits to help achieve this goal. It was awesome to think that some of my money was reinvested to support such a cause.

I highly recommend this travel company. They went above and beyond and were there for us when things mattered. Office staff was also organized, supportive, and always an available resource (guides/ porters carried cell phones). They are very responsive to emails and inquiries.
