Trip Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport – Welcome to Tanzania!

Your journey begins as you arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by your female safari host. A short transfer brings you to your comfortable lodge in Arusha, a lively town nestled at the foot of Mount Meru. Here, you’ll meet your fellow travelers and enjoy a welcome dinner. We’ll also provide a short briefing about your safari, go over important travel tips, and answer any last-minute questions.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Elephants & Baobabs

After breakfast, we depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its enormous herds of elephants and ancient baobab trees. This lesser-visited park offers a peaceful introduction to Tanzania’s wildlife, with excellent chances of spotting lions, giraffes, zebra, and many bird species along the Tarangire River.

Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the bush. Our female guide will share stories about animal behavior and conservation efforts in the park. In the evening, unwind at a safari lodge.

Day 3: Fly to Northern Serengeti (Kogatende) – Migration Territory

Today we take a scenic bush flight from Manyara Airstrip to Kogatende, in the Northern Serengeti, the heart of the Great Migration during this time of year. From the air, admire panoramic views of the endless plains, winding rivers, and scattered kopjes.

Upon arrival, your safari adventure begins immediately with a game drive en route to your intimate tented camp. Northern Serengeti is known for the dramatic Mara River crossing, where wildebeest and zebra risk it all to reach greener pastures while crocodiles lie in wait.

Day 4 & 5: Northern Serengeti – Witness the Great Migration River Crossing

Spend two full days exploring the Mara River area, tracking the great herds and the predators that follow them. With some luck, you’ll witness the dramatic crossings—a bucket-list wildlife moment. Our experienced female guide will position you safely and respectfully to witness this spectacle.

Early morning and late afternoon game drives are interspersed with breaks at your comfortable camp, offering beautiful views, delicious food, and the chance to bond with your group around the campfire.

Optional add-on: Bush breakfast, sunset sundowners, or even a balloon safari over the Serengeti plains (extra cost).

Day 6: Serengeti Game Drive – Transfer to Central Serengeti

Today we slowly game-drive our way southward through the Serengeti’s central zone, a prime area for spotting big cats, elephants, and hippos. Along the way, we’ll stop at unique viewpoints and learn more about the ecosystem and the Serengeti’s place in global conservation history.

Tonight, we stay in the Seronera region, known for excellent year-round wildlife viewing.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater Full-Day Safari

After an early breakfast, we drive to the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s largest unbroken volcanic calderas. It is also one of the best places in Tanzania to see the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino.

Descend 600 meters into the crater for a full-day game drive, with a picnic lunch at a hippo pool. Enjoy sightings of lions, buffaloes, flamingoes, and a variety of other animals in this lush, enclosed ecosystem.

In the evening, we drive to Karatu, where you’ll check into a cozy lodge nestled in the crater highlands.

Day 8: Cultural Encounters – Maasai Boma, Tanzanite, and Women’s Projects – Departure

On your final day, we visit a local Maasai boma for an authentic cultural interaction with Maasai women. Learn about their traditions, crafts, and community life.

We’ll then stop at a certified Tanzanite shop, where you can purchase gemstones ethically sourced from local mines, and continue to visit women-led community-based projects supported by our company. Your safari supports 5% income to these initiatives, which empower Tanzanian women through tourism.

In the afternoon, we drive back to Arusha for your departure. Depending on your flight time, a day room or airport drop-off will be arranged.
